With funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF), UTEP and the City College of New York are working to support Hispanic doctoral STEM students to transition to faculty positions at community colleges.
Conference guests will hear about the need for having students, post-docs, and faculty with STEM backgrounds teach at community colleges, and how their presence can serve to mentor students to continue their education and/or pursue a career trajectory in STEM.
Panel discussions will review key components of faculty work at community colleges.
