On Friday, March 14th the ESES Graduate Initiative’s Advisory Board will meet to evaluate the program’s progress during the last year. The meeting will involve professionals that have been active since the program’s inauguration. The board will discuss the Summer Bridge Program, internships, research and mentoring, the Career Pathways Workshop, and conferences and publications by students. There will be another section that will focus on the program’s overall evaluation and budget.
Ricky Vargas, Mildred Alvarado and Pedro Sequera have been selected to do oral presentations for the advisory board. These students will show the students’ overall progress throughout their time in the program, and will present research that reflects the program’s mission to increase the number of underrepresented minorities in the ESES fields.
