Internships

Key to a successful graduate program is connection between the graduate experience and the professional post-graduation environment, whether in industry, government, non-profit, or academia. The ESES Graduate Initiative runs a summer internship program for interested minority students. This program reinforces the connection of the graduate student with the professional environment. The program consist of 8-10 weeks of intense research at one of the partner organizations of CCNY/CREST in ESES fields such as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), United Nations (UN), private companies (such Raytheon, IBM, Weatherflow, or ERT), and non-government and not for profit organizations. Students have the opportunity to choose from several openings and are paired with an internship mentor who will supervise his/her work.
