The main objective of his research is mapping terrestrial ecosystem through remote sensing. The study involved the use of satellite data sets (palsar, alors, jers, etc.) GIS/ENVI/IDL eCognition and other forests Algorithms. The study is focused on wetland and marsh systems. Work trajectory includes the gulf coast and southeast coast of the United States. The results could show the variation in land area and diminish of wetlands through development of infrastructure.

Bio: Gregory received his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Engineering department of the University of Puerto Rico in 2012. He aspires to pursue a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering and/or a career that implements his civil engineering background with environmental mitigation initiatives. His future plans include pursuing a PE certification, securing career in relevant fields, and numerous contributions to existing infrastructure. Gregoryy is versed in; AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, Mathematica CAS, MATLAB, Revit BIM, Rhino 3D, MS Office, Adobe CS4 (Ps, Ai), Mac OS/Windows, Cloud Comp, GIS and ENVI.
