Pedro Sequera’s Experience at JPL
My summer internship at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) has been a very meaningful and gratifying experience at the professional level. The title of my work is “Assessment of urbanization on the integrated land-ocean-atmosphere environment” and is supervised by Dr. William Patzert and Dr. Erica Poddest from JPL and Drs. Steve Ladochy and Pedro Ramirez from CalState LA, all of them renowned California climatologists and JPL scientists. The main objective of this work is to finalize all the details concerning the ground support for the upcoming AVIRIS and MASTER flight campaign in August 2013, as well as data processing of previous flights in order to model summer temperature gradient in the LA area.
